Chapter 65. A Rescuer
Sansa's pov
When I watched Adam standing fearlessly in front of the wild creature while its blood-curdling cry rang through the deep jungle, I couldn't believe my eyes. His determined gaze was unwavering as he swung the sword, inflicting the beast great anguish.
Adam altered positions quickly, fooling the thing, and rapidly thrust his sword into its neck, delivering a killing blow. As its gigantic form slumped like a fallen tower, the creature's anguished moans faded. Without pausing, Adam wiped the blood from his sword with a little towel from his pocket before tossing it aside.
He rushed over to me, his hand outstretched in concern. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern.
"Still breathing," I said, shakily grasping his hand in mine to hoist myself up.
"Did it cause any harm to you?" he queried, his gaze scouring my body for any signs of injury.
