Chapter 68. A Great Loss

Sansa's Pov 

 

In the midst of the burial, I struggled with the agony of progressively discovering my true identity and the bizarre half-werewolf symptoms that had plagued me. Questions lingered like haunting shadows. Why had my father and grandfather kept my half-werewolf blood hidden from me? Why had I remained unknown to my people for so long? Was it to keep me from joining a pack and becoming a human, or was there a deeper, darker motive, possibly including Xavier?

Xavier's voice broke through my thoughts, apologizing for his inability to save them. "I'm sorry I couldn't save them. I am deeply sorry for your loss." 

His remarks reminded me of the Oak Pack's funeral gathering, which I had no idea existed until now. My curiosity was piqued as I realized there were many buried secrets yet to be discovered.
