“That he is. You’re Kate Anderson? Chip’s best friend is Steve Hammer. Is Gwen Anderson your sister? You’re a very beautiful young woman. You say you’re just a friend of Chip’s?” asked the older woman as she watched with amusement as Kate blushed.

“We’re just getting to know each other, but I’ll probably be the mother of your grandchildren, if I have anything to say about it,” confessed Kate as she squared her shoulders and looked the older woman in the eye.
