Dermot's pov

I watched him walk away with a smile on my face, he was a silly man.

The pout on his face when I laid down the ground rules if we intended on working together, everybody knows that I am his wife already but so far, we have been maintaining our distance. I didn't want things to change now that we are close.

It will spark up rumors and I didn't want such, I was already anxious enough as it is.

I knew the feeling of me being happy was only temporary and sooner or later, something will come up to take that away, but for now, I will enjoy it while it lasts.

I went back to the files I was handling, a complaint was brought for sexual assault. I am supposed to have handled this months ago but I wasn't the one here and I am sure, Devlin wouldn't even bother herself with trivia cases such as this.

I read it and I was appalled at the ruthlessness with people here working out things, someone under my care has been assault
