Chapter 14. The Visit

Rick and Daryl watched in silence as the shadowy figure transformed into a woman dressed in darker clothing that gave her a gothic appearance. Her dark gothic-styled hair tumbled over her shoulders, and she wore dark lipstick and eyebrow makeup. On her nose, there was a black dot, and she had a skull with a raven tattooed on her neck.

“Mia?” Both brothers called out at once.

“Hello, boys!” she said with flushed cheeks.

Daryl pushed off Rick’s feet and sprang to his feet, still gazing at her with a puzzled expression. “What are you doing in New Orleans?”

She made her way to Daryl and hugged him tightly. “I know you missed me, didn’t you?” she whispered to him.

Rick hissed loudly. He turned away, walked toward the couch, and slumped onto it, hissing once more.

Rick didn’t seem happy to see Mia. He never liked her because she always defended Daryl.
