Chapter 21. Death Wish

“Hey, hey,” Rick whispered in a gentle voice of consolation. He quickly moved toward Nancy. “It’s alright. It’s just gonna be alright.” He cuddled her.

Nancy slowly raised her head; hearing Rick’s voice and seeing his face meant a lot to her. “Something is after me,” she barely squeezes out. Looking around, she noticed the ravens were gone. “They are gone.” Her voice was faint. Fear was still all over her.

“Who?” Rick stared with a wide-eyed gaze, pretending he had no idea what she was talking about. Of course, he knew Daryl was behind the fogs and ravens. Nevertheless, he never wants to ruin his chances with Nancy.

“The ravens and the fogs outside,” she said. “Did you not see them?”

Her eyes widened with curiosity. She was expecting Rick to say ‘yes’ or she would just conclude she’s just insane, and that’s why she’s seeing things.
