Chapter 15. Fling!

Among all the witches, Mia was the only one who had maintained a friendship with the Brown brothers. Other witches did their work and then bailed on them, but Mia kept coming back for them, even though Rick never liked her.

“The witches are gathering as well,” she said. “We can’t let this happen.”

“That’s not enough,” Rick disputed. “For them to alter the curse of the moon means they have witches working with them.”

Mia glanced at Daryl for him to speak in her favor.

Daryl understood the body language she had just put up. He shook his head. “I am sorry, Mia, but Rick is right,” he said. “We all know what it costs to break the curse of the sun and the number of witches involved.” He paused and thought for a moment. His cheeks flushed with excitement as he chuckled in a devilish manner. Putting up a finger, he said, “I have an idea.”

“Tell us,” Mia focused her gaze on him.

“I say we find all the witches involved and kill them. Case closed.”
