Chapter 16. She Got into My Head

Mia finally released Rick and let him slump to the floor. “It’s done!” she said, dusting her hand.

Daryl peered at her with suspicion. He steeled his failing nerves and sprang back to his feet. “What did you do to my brother?” His nostrils as he stared at Mia. He’s shocked seeing what she just did to Rick, who’s lying unconscious beside Mia’s feet.

“Relax, Daryl,” she said, casting a sideway glance at him. “I just showed him the truth.”

“What truth?” Daryl stared with curiosity. He had no idea what she was talking about. She just kicked his ass by flinging him with just a hand gesture. Before Mia could speak up, he moved toward her faster than the eye could perceive and stood in front of her. “I trusted you, and now you have to do this!” he growled, pointing at his brother, who was still lying conscious.

If not for the good times he had with Mia in the past and for their solid friendship, he wouldn’t just be talking. He will be taken on her.
