Chapter 84. Run over

*** NANCY’S APARTMENT ***

The sight of Nancy’s apartment looks like a death trap. The door was ajar. Daryl pushed open the door as he walked in. Ruth silently followed right after him.

“Where is she?” she asked impatiently.

There’s no one around. All their eyes could make a profile of is a broken table and jars littered on the floor.

“I don’t know.” Daryl glanced around with mixed feelings. “This is where she lives.”

She moved toward Daryl faster than the eye could see and lifted him above the floor. “If you are lying, just consider yourself dead.” Her eyes were lit with hate and evil. She has had enough of Rick’s tricks in the past and is now ready to let him continue fooling her.

“I am not lying,” Daryl squeezes out.

“You better not be lying.” She curled her lips in rage and tossed Daryl across the couch. “Find her, now!”
