Selene's POV

I stopped reading for a moment when I realized something about what I read.

Vomiting blood has happened to me several times. When the body rejects human blood, it's happened to me too.

Little by little, my heart beat faster because of the nervousness. What's going on in my mind because of this?

I closed my eyes tightly before shaking my head.

Calm down, Selene. There are only two symptoms that happen to us. Also, Dominic is not a witch, so it's impossible for me to be a "cursed vampire.".

Instead of stopping reading the book, I just continued it again.

"Even so, the day of their death could not be predicted because their heartbeat would suddenly just stop." I skimmed the page one last time before quickly closing it.

I clutched my chest out of nervousness and fear. I don't want to overthink, but what if I am one of those vampires?

Does that mean there is a high probability that I will die?
