Selene's POV

It seems that she didn't hear me because her eyes were still focused on the cellphone.

But I was nervous when I noticed her eyes gradually changing color.

I immediately grabbed her hand that was holding the cellphone and talked to him.

"Sister Vera!" I whispered to her.

She inhaled for a moment before looking at me.

"O-are you okay?" I asked.

She was silent for a moment and closed her eyes tightly. She took a deep breath before opening her eyes again.

"Yeah, I'm okay."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." She released my grip on her hand before standing up and saying, "Maybe we should leave now before the roadway gets darker."

I couldn't speak immediately and just looked at her in wonder. But then I just agreed.

We didn't even finish what we ordered, but maybe it's even better.

As we were leaving the coffee shop, I quickly turned to Dominic, who was looking at me.
