Selene's POV

"But can you please congratulate me on my birthday, or you can go to the house to eat like that?" I tried to laugh in front of him, even though deep inside I wanted to cry.

"Sorry, but I have to say no. I'm afraid that many vampires might come to your house."

I bit my lower lip when I heard what he said.

It's like he's saying that he hates us.

I tasted it before nodding, "S-okay." I said this before slowly leaving his room.
