As soon as Jack saw Lewis walking back to the sheriff’s station, he hurried up to him as he asked sternly, “Is the news true? Is Zukie dead?” Jack asked. “Yeah, the son of a bitch is dead,” Lewis replied with a smile. “Where is his corpse?” Jack asked sternly. “What the hell are you supposed to be doing with his corpse?” Lewis replied. “Nothing, just asking nothing more,” Jack said.
Back at the wolves’ hill, Clara stood before her entire clan and addresses them, “It is indeed a new beginning and we are returning to our ancestral hill!” she said in a loud voice as her clan cheered her in excitement. “If we get there and if there be any one of Zukie’s followers that will not pledge allegiance to me, he or she will fall just like Zukie,” Clara added as the cheering continues. “When are we returning to the ancestral hill?” one of the omegas cuts in. “The full moon is at the corner. That will be the best time to return to the ancestral hill,” Clara replied.
