Chapter 14. That Stench

Vampires can hear a drop of pin 100km away. They can easily pick a sound and smell up to 200km When they focus, they easily pick sound up to a mile or two. “Everywhere is quiet only the spooky sounds but I can smell something.”

“What?” Sasha inquired with curiosity.

“Blood!” John glances at her.

At first, Sasha's heart skipped thinking John was referring to her blood. Perhaps he wants to turn against her and fang her to death. But she summoned courage and stood her ground. She was ready to kill him not minding what Jasmine has said or Jasmine’s order. “Whose blood?” she asked.

“I don’t know but it’s coming right from there.” John pointed towards a gigantic rock about two yards ahead of them. A vampire can smell the presence of blood with ease especially blood no longer in a human’s vein.

“Then let’s find out, shall we!” Sasha gestured him to lead the way. She prefers now to stay behind in case he tries to do something stupid.
