Chapter 16. Crossed Path

Scott and Kyle came to a rough landing in a place called the ‘skull of death.’ Skull of death is a crossroad in the underworld that leads straight to hell. In other words, it’s the point where hell and the underworld shares boundary. Unlike hell, the underworld is not a place of total darkness although Scott could barely see. The underworld is a chill and shadowy place, gloomy, frightening, dark, and generally unpleasant for anyone to endure. “Kyle,” Scott whispers dragging himself up to his feet.

“I’m here.” Kyle lit his palm with a fireball at the center of his palm to give light to their paths. His appearance as a hideous creature has changed.

“You’ve changed,” Scott said. He is so surprised seeing him look charming and handsome. His hair color is brown and his eyes are blue. “How did you do that?” Scott asked.
