The sun was just about to rise when Stanley woke up. Beside him was Maxine, who was soundly sleeping. He gently moved her hair as he thought, ‘Don’t worry, Hon. Maureen can’t separate us. Although we will be temporarily apart because of her threat, I will make sure to find a way to get Maureen out of our lives. So, our family can finally live in peace.’
