Chapter 24

Daphne’s POV

As I look at the picture of the baby girl I am carrying, I am completely and enormously in love. How is it that this little one has already stolen my heart? I texted the pictures to Justin so he knows what is happening, but since I have heard nothing from him, nor has the court. It seems I will need to file this in court so he can give the pension or contact his relatives to have my child receive medical care.

Feeling sore I tried to text Alex again. Ever since he texted I felt like we clicked like he was always there just waiting for me. I haven’t told him at all about anything that has to do with my kids, divorce and crazy life, but I do hope he doesn’t run away. I know I have a lot of bags and shoes to fill, but he has been wonderful and the last time I felt like this was with Max.

“Mom, we need to go to the big game in one hour. How about we meet there instead cause you aren’t ready.” My eldest son Max says and I nod at him.

He takes off with
