Chloe’s POV

After Drake left that morning, I went back to our old house, where Hilda and I lived to get some of our clothes and stuff. The house was silent because our neighbors had all gone to work. I slipped inside the apartment and it wasn't just like how I had left it.

Mirrors all shattered on the floor, the furniture weren't in place, blood stains on the wall. Tears rolled out of my eyes. These were all signs of struggles. This was all my fault. Jack wouldn't have kidnapped her, he wouldn't have tortured her at all. I sat down on the floor and sobbed. Nothing bad must happen to Hida. She is the only family I have left.
