Instead, I stood up, walked to the window, and stared out at a town that didn’t know my name, didn’t know my past. For the first time, anonymity felt like safety.
Whatever Drake wanted… whatever he felt…

The next morning, I woke up right beside my sister and checked up on her. She was still unconscious with the machine still beeping and stabilizing when my phone beeped.
