Chapter 20

I sat on the couch, my mind still reeling from the news that Xefora was disbanding. I couldn't believe it was happening. I had put so much time and energy into the band, and now it was all falling apart.

Feeling overwhelmed, I picked up my phone and dialed Iris' number. I needed to talk to someone. Someone who would understand what I was going through.

"Hey, Iris," I said as soon as she answered. "Can I come to see you? I need to talk to someone."

"Of course, Felix," Iris replied. "What's going on? Is everything okay?"

I sighed heavily, unsure of where to start. "It's Xefora," I began. "We got some news today that we're disbanding. It's all over."

"Oh no, Felix," Iris said sympathetically. "I'm so sorry to hear that. Of course, you can come over. I'm here for you."

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. It was comforting to know that Iris was there for me. "Thanks, Iris," he said. "I'll be there tomorrow morning."
