Reina's pov

I scoffed at Kylian's words, disbelief etched across my face like a scar. How could he deny something so significant? The hurt and confusion surged through me, fueling my determination to uncover the truth. I couldn't simply accept his denial at face value.

"Why are you lying, Kylian?" I demanded, my voice laced with a mix of frustration and anguish. "I received a message stating that I was fired. How can you deny it?"

Kylian's eyes widened, his expression mirroring my disbelief. "Reina, I swear to you, I didn't fire you," he insisted, his voice tinged with sincerity. "I have no idea why you received such a message."

His words only fueled my frustration. I searched his eyes, hoping to find a glimmer of truth, but all I saw was confusion and concern. A part of me wanted to believe him, to trust that he wouldn't play such a cruel game with my emotions. Yet, the evidence of the message still lingered, casting doubt upon his words.
