Chapter 78

Reina's pov

I left the restaurant in a hurry, with Rojas hot on my heels. I didn't know what to say, what to do. My mother's words had cut me deep. She was supposed to be happy for me, but instead, she was condemning me for being engaged to Rojas. The man I loved. The man I had agreed to spend the rest of my life with.

I got into my car and drove away, tears streaming down my face. I could see Rojas' car behind me, but I didn't want to stop. I didn't want to talk to him. I needed time to think, to process everything that had happened.

But Rojas was persistent. He followed me all the way to my house, and when I parked my car, he parked his right beside it. I sat in the driver's seat, watching him as he got out of his car and walked towards mine. I felt my heart beating faster, my emotions in turmoil.

Rojas opened my door and sat down beside me. I could see the concern etched on his face. He didn't say anything at first, just sat there beside me, letting me cry. Final
