Kylian's pov

Macy's fury was palpable as we left the cafeteria. The meeting with Reina had not gone as planned, and she was not happy about it.

"You need to forget about running for prime minister, Kylian," she spat out, her voice seething with anger. "If you do, I will break off our engagement and leave with our child. You will never see us again."

I stopped in my tracks, my heart sinking at the ultimatum she had just given me. "Macy, please don't say that," I pleaded, desperation creeping into my voice. "I can't lose our baby."

Macy turned around, facing me with a cold, hard look in her eyes. "Then don't run for prime minister," she said firmly. "It's that simple. I won't let you risk your life and our family's future for a political game."

I swallowed hard, "But what if I eventually do decide to run?" I asked, hoping for some kind of compromise.
