Chapter 2
The night was warm with only a gentle breeze blowing off the ocean. Ashton led Lorilee along the silent and deserted beach. The waves licked and curled over his bare feet. He wore a pair of swim trunks and she’d put her swimsuit back on. She carried her cover-up, slung over one arm. They strolled hand in hand.
She wasn’t anything like the women he normally engaged with. She didn’t flirt and didn’t flaunt her body to gain his attention. And she could have, because he couldn’t take his eyes off her. The silvery moonlight bathed her in light, revealing curves in all the right places.
Her head barely came up to his shoulders and she was so dainty and petite that he’d been afraid of hurting her in the shower. Yet she had a core of strength inside her and she’d given him her all. No, there was nothing fragile about this woman. She gave freely and she took what she wanted.
