She tossed the list of rules onto the end table and returned to her laptop. “Girl, you have to leave. Today, if you can. Otherwise, you’re going to do something stupid.” But staring at the available flights, she couldn’t make herself click on the button that would take her away from Ashton or her own need to see if he’d contact her again.
A knock at her door startled her. Pulling her robe tight, she peered out the peephole. She gulped. The man her mind was obsessing over stood on the other side. “Ignore him,” she said. “Be smart.” But did she ever listen to reason or to good, sensible advice? Nope.
She opened the door, licked her lips, and stared into the incredibly handsome face of the man she wanted to drag to her bed.
“Ash—Tom,” she greeted, remembering to use his undercover name.
