“Ms. Henry?”

She nodded.

“I’m Doctor Randell.” In his hands he held a yellow folder.

“Is my father okay?” she asked quickly.

He nodded and she looked at Zane. “Go get Peyton.”

Without hesitation, he hurried around the corner. In a matter of seconds, he was back with Peyton and Cole hot on his heels.

Once they were all there they waited for the doctor to continue.

“Your dad just had a mild heart attack. We are going to keep him for a couple of days. We need to do some ultrasounds on the arteries in his neck and make sure there are no blockages. We’ll also be doing some more tests to make sure his heart is blockage free.”

Dallas sucked in a sharp breath. “But he’s going to be okay, right?”

The doctor nodded. “This was just a mild incident, but I will tell you, he needs to take it easy for the next several weeks. This was a warning shot. If it happens again, I cannot guarantee that he will be so lucky.”
