"Thanks for seeing me, Mr. Glover," Lacey Easton said as she sat down in front of the temp agency manager's desk. "I haven't had a new assignment in weeks. I was wondering if there's a problem?"

"No assignments at all? That can't be right." Mr. Glover put on his reading glasses and looked at the temp schedule he kept on his desk. "Well, we've had plenty of client requests. Let me pull up the booking schedule." He turned to his computer and tapped some keys before he peered at the screen. "Hmmm. It says here that you've been offered an assignment every day for the past two weeks."

"I was offered the same assignment every day: to work at Wolfe International, which I won't accept." Lacey was so angry she wondered if steam was begin to leak out of her ears. "I'm not interested in working there again."
