We both burst out laughing. I wrapped my leg around him and hugged him tightly.

"I'll have you know I picked that ring out," Viktor declared. "Only my sister assisted with the diamond cut."

"Then you did a great job, Viktor," Sofia responded.

Viktor and I sat in the back, kissing like teenagers on our way to the next stop.

We came to a halt as Viktor's phone rang.

I could hear Beta Liam on the phone, but I couldn't understand all he said.

Something concerning the Black Creek pack. I believe Byron was a member of that pack.

When Viktor got off the phone, he told us that Alpha Jensen of the Black Creek pack had been sniffing about for Hannah. He'd been following her for the past two years. He didn't seem to want to let her go.

"What are you going to do," I inquired.

"I'm going to have to fly home and sort this out," he admitted.

"But I really need you for the surveys," I explained.

"You can handle those without me," he assured
