A week later, chaos erupted in the pack.  

It started in the most mundane way. I was in the meeting hall with the elders, going over plans for the upcoming harvest festival, when Elder Magnus suddenly stopped mid-sentence, his brow furrowing as if he’d just remembered something crucial.
