Side Story 4.58 - No Rest for the Weary
Jhoanna’s POV
Four days had passed since the banquet, and Mael had somehow managed to stretch his one extra day into four without anyone actually stopping him. He had settled into our packhouse like a second home, effortlessly inserting himself into our daily routines as if he’d always been there.
At first, Hans had threatened to throw him out. Then, he realized it was far less effort to just let Mael exist and ignore him whenever possible.
Unfortunately for my poor mate, Mael was so impossible to just simply ignore.
At this moment, he was sitting cross-legged on the floor in front of Johanis, making the most ridiculous faces I had ever seen. His eyebrows wiggled, his mouth stretched into exaggerated O’s, and he even flared his nostrils for extra effect.
Johanis blinked at him.
