Chapter 67. Carrying out the Plan
I immediately turned my head in his direction.
'Finally, you're looking at me.' He softly stated with a gentle smile.
Rubbing my eyes countless times with my free hand, only to be caught by his. 'I know what you're thinking. Yes. It's me.'
He is still communicating with me through the link. Obviously not wanting the rogues to listen to our conversation. I know that he is just being this soft to calm down my nerves. But.. That much is enough for me. For whatever reason he has, he is exerting effort to soothe me. The last thing I would want is to be unprepared because of me being a scaredy cat.
'Now's not the time to be surprised. We need a plan,' Carter seriously stated, and I agreed. His right hand is still holding my left. Firmly circling his thumb with his slightly rough skin.
'What plan?' I queried, focusing on our conversation, but both our eyes are in front. Looking out for who would make the first move. I don't know if I would be glad
