Book 3: Chapter 44

Alyssa and Kevin came back up after a while looking thoroughly disheveled and well pleasured. Kevin shooed Alyssa to a chair across from us and then proceeded to grab her some water and a snack. A small envious smile crossed my lips as I watched the two of them. It was obvious they were really in love and well-matched altogether. I glanced over at Trev and saw an odd look on his face as he stared back at me. I was not able to interpret all the emotions that were swirling around in them.

“How did the paperwork go?” Alyssa asked after she took a giant chug of her water.

I shrugged, not wanting to talk about the issues that were looming over us. Kevin rolled his eyes and grabbed the papers from us. Modesty demanded that I grab them back from him. But Kevin just held the papers and set them on a little shelf right in front of the door down to the dungeon.
