Chapter 37

Mahlon stayed behind and waited all night for Anastasia to wake up, but she didn’t.

He chose to sleep on the sofa because the hospital bed was too small for him, but he was startled awake by the sound of people conversing in the room.

When he awoke to discover Gilbert Green assisting Anastasia in sitting up properly, he felt enraged, and his pain was obvious on his face.

While Anastasia had her face down, Gilbert was the first to notice him. If the two guys were to fight in the room, not even the patient would be able to handle the heat between them.
