Chapter 39
Mahlon had been attempting to ignore Anastasia, but he couldn’t help himself; he intended on visiting her apartment and, if possible, seeing her son with Gilbert, but the prospect of seeing Gilbert’s boy did not sit well with him. He hadn’t seen her in a week since she had gone to see Gilbert.
She has called him numerous times, but he has always pretended to be busy when she attempts to speak with him.
He decided to contact her and make plans to visit her apartment, and as soon as he arrived at his office phone, it began to ring. He doesn’t get many calls on his office phone due to the international calls he receives.
