Chapter 59
Gilbert Sr. is losing patience with Mahlon; he knows that the youngster has lost his grandfather, but that doesn’t mean that everything should be put on hold unless he has already given up.
The only way he can weaken him is to have him sign the contract, but the only thing he doesn’t understand is how the contract, which was signed at first, got lost and why he requested a different copy.
Unless someone is sending him information on the same company, he knows Mahlon is unaware of the oil company and how it came to be in existence.
If he wants his retribution sooner, he requires his son; the old guy has so carefully buried his tracks that not even a cent can be stolen from him, and he isn’t even around.
He has been attempting to schedule a meeting with his son, but his son appears to be preoccupied with work and will not tolerate any interruptions; nevertheless, what he is unaware of is that Gilbert Jr. is preoccupied with the inquiries into his late sister.
