Chapter 24

I ran around with Damien in the woods, loving every moment of it. It felt good, different to run in my wolf form.

“Come here.” Damien ordered, using our mind link. I don’t think I managed to give him the scowl I wanted to, so instead I glared at him. He was standing near the sea, looking every bit of the majestic wolf that he was. His fur glowed in the moonlight and his aura reflected upon the waters.

I walked next to him, wondering what he wanted. “Look into the water.”

If I could, I would have gasped at the sight. We could see ourselves clearly in the water. He was the bigger wolf, towering over me, but his dark eyes had a certain softness to them only I could catch.

I looked at my wolf. I was surprised to see that my fur was grey. Grey wolves were a rarity, only some females had grey fur. I stared at myself, not really believing my eyes.

“Isn’t it amazing?” Damien spoke and I nodded, hoping he would understand.

“Isn’t anyone else here?” I asked
