Upon hearing Hubert was wounded, Mr. Wang also decided to accompany them through the sewer. Hubert and Winston, armed with a map, led the way, followed closely by Jacob, who dared not step level with Hubert.

Stella watched him as if threatening to expose the truth at any moment. Jacob slowed down, and Stella sped up to catch up, eventually falling to the group’s rear.
