Chapter 30. Please, Trust Me
As Hubert explored the shelter for valuable items, he found several cans of petrol neatly stowed away in a corner. After observing for a moment, he approached the blocked entrance, contemplating which object to summon from his space to break the collapsed wall, when suddenly Jacob embraced him from behind.
"Hubert!"
"What are you doing?" Hubert tried to pry Jacob’s arms off but to no avail.
Instead, Jacob held him tighter. He snapped: "You crazy, don’t touch me!"
"I’m sorry, Hubert. Can you give me more time? I will explain everything."
"Explain what? We’re nothing to each other, and there’s nothing that requires your explanation!"
Hubert struggled to break free, but Jacob held him tighter, pulling him back. Although Hubert had night vision and could see clearly in the dark tunnel, how could Jacob also seem to notice?
