Chapter 49

NEW YORK CITY:

Meanwhile in New York Gideon and Judy were at the cafe behind the office having lunch. They walked in after Gideon offered to pay for Judy’s lunch that day because they’ve been having a series of business meetings all through. Judy placed her phone opposite Gideon and was checking the menu card the waiter handed over to her.

“I’ll have the usual,” Gideon told the waiter who nodded with a smile. 

Lately, Gideon had been having his lunch daily at the cafe making Frankie his chef feeling unwanted most of the time. As far as Frankie was concerned, his pay kept coming. Soon, Judy and Gideon were having lunch and conversing. Gideon was having orange juice and burger while Judy was having potato chips and egg sauce. 

“Will that be all you’ll have for lunch?” Judy questioned Gideon pointing at his meal. He smiled and nodded.

“Come on, That’s a mere snack,” Judy said.

“I am okay Judy,” he told her.
