Chapter 8. The Detective

Who would have thought that detectives actually exist in the real world and not just in fiction?

The arrival of a detective was what prompted Vanessa, Andrew's secretary, to knock on the young man's office door, "Excuse me, Sir. There's a guest looking for you."

"If that's Rose, tell her I'm busy and can't receive any guests," Andrew replied without taking his eyes off the laptop in front of him. He had blocked Rose's number, so since their last dinner together, she couldn't reach him.
