Chapter 59

Riley POV

Julia asks her as she gently rubs her arm. Suddenly Nina pulls away from me and leans forward until she is up close to Julia and then she starts whispering in her ear. For some reason, I feel nervous about what she going to say but then I see Julia’s face light up with a smile and it seems to calm me a little and some kind of hope seems to settle in my chest.

Once she finishes talking to Julia, Nina sits back up but now her cheeks are bright pink and it had me curious as to what she said to Julia. “Why don’t you tell Riley what you just told me, sweetheart?” Julia asks her but she just shakes her head seeming to suddenly be shy. “It will be ok, I promise. I’m pretty sure that Riley will love what you said and I think It will make him happy.”

I watch as Nina listens to Julia, appearing to be paying attention to her. Once Julia finishes talking Nina turns her attention to me but I can’t make out the look on her face. She seems almost worried yet kind
