Chapter 57
The house wasn’t too big, but its main advantage was its proximity to the beach, which meant we could walk there. It had two bedrooms, a small room meant to be a maid’s room, but we agreed to turn it into a workspace, and a small backyard garden. When we checked out the house, we knew it was the one. The rent fit our budget, and the building was relatively new.
The moving process kept us busy for more than a week. Levi brought only kitchen appliances, a more extensive wardrobe, and a work table since he had more substantial belongings in his apartment. We decided to buy a new bed as it was necessary. I was overwhelmed by the whole moving process, and Levi often had to witness my burst of emotions.
