Chapter 88. Free Woman
VENUS
Where I was, alone in my cell, time was infinite. Everywhere was dark and I didn't know if another day had passed or what the time was. I merely slept whenever I felt tired and called it my own night.
My wounds were healing, all thanks to Fitz's medical attention but the food I had eaten had long disappeared in my stomach.
Had it been a hour since he was here? Two? Five?
Did it even matter? The cell was my new home and I would be seeing nothing of the outside world for a very long time. Sweat made my dress stick to my skin and I wished that Fitz had brought me something to change into.
Prisoners can't be choosers, Bly concluded and I accepted my fate.
So when I heard the grating sound of my cell door opening, it was like a dream. I peeped out of an eye, too weary to sit up.
Who could it be?
Mate? Bly whined stupidly. She was really getting on my nerves with her constant pining for a man who didn't give a shit
