Chapter 95. A Parting Kiss

After listening to the King's public address, my room was no longer comfortable for me. I paced around until my feet made grooves in the ground. I was in serious trouble and I needed a solution immediately.

Few minutes ago, I called Serena, ordering her to bring herself to my room. My entire plans were going up in flames and I needed all the ammunition I could get. 

I smelled her at my door and pulled it open before she could knock, dragging her inside by her arm.

"Rude," she snarled, rubbing the sore spot. "Is this any way to welcome your lover, Saylor?"

"Shut the fuck up, Serena! You...you ruined everything for me! You just had to poison that Venus character and now you have the King on our tails."

She sat elegantly on my chair, clearly not grasping the implication of what I was saying. "I already said I was sorry about that. Okay, I'll say it again. I am sorry for interfering with your plans.
