Everyone's mouths dropped open with shock and their eyes went wide as they stared at Gabriel. A dead man who was alive. I watched Eric as he shook his head in utter disbelief. His fists were clenched tightly and he started breathing heavily. 

He tilted his head as he looked at Gabriel with a finger pointed at him. "How? What wha…" he muttered. He could barely talk, and his voice trembled slightly. He walked to Gabriel and looked him over. "Fuck." 

He hugged his best friend tightly. No one moved and we all watched as both of the friends hugged each other. Tears ran down my cheeks. I wiped them away, but to no avail, as more just ran down in their place. Fuck.

I heard the sound of a baby's cry as Cara entered the room. She must have heard the commotion. We all watched as Eric let go of Gabriel and patted his shoulder.
