Rhiannon and everything that the after-wave smashed into were thrown back. Rhiannon landed a few ten feet away from where she stood before, rolling with the earth and rubble biting into her skin before she finally stopped.
Several wolves laid panting where the collision had forced them back.
That should have done it. The witch should be dead. She was tired. She could feel the darkness coming in, she was about to pass out.
And her legs, they felt numb. Even her hands. The only thing she could hear were her ears ringing and her heart thrumming.
Then, Rhiannon heard that familiar, chilling laughter from behind. She sighed in tiredness and aggravation as the chilling tone made her swallow tightly.
Slowly, the witch straightened again, and her hands reached over and dusted some rubble that her touched her. She had not a single cut in her body, not even a bruise.
Her dark eyes locked with Rhiannon whom was now struggling to get up again, and a look dark
