Chapter 124. The Unexplainable Death

She took a shower and prepared for bed.

In less than an hour, Ezekiel arrived home while she was in the sitting room waiting for him.

She heard him coming, and he twisted the doorknob and walked into the house.

Rhiannon paused again, staring as he approached her.

“Hello, beautiful,” He kissed her forehead.

“Don’t you usually ring the doorbell and I’d answer?” She asked, surprised at her question too.

He sat down next to her, “Huh?”

“Never mind,” She waved it off, “How was the meeting?!”

“It’s all settled,” he replied.

“I’m glad to hear that,”

“How long have you been awake?” He asked.

“About an hour and a half,”

He smirked, “Would you like to go back to bed?”

She stared at his lips. Did he always smirk like that, or did something change? Maybe this time he didn’t curve the corners of his lips as much as he used to?
