“Hey man, I didn’t know you would come into the store today,” He was saying.

“Yeah, I come once in a while,”

“It’s good to see you again. How have you... affairs been?”

Kaden shrugged, “It’s wonderful,”

After a few more exchanges, Kaden finally noticed she was standing there.

“Rhia!” He exclaimed.

Eli stared between them, “You know her?” He asked Kaden.

“Yes, we are together,”

“Together?” Eli tilted his head a bit.

Kaden didn’t seem to understand what he meant, “Yeah, together,” He repeated.

Eli’s jaw clenched, but his breath hitched up a bit. Rhiannon noticed.

“That’s good. But she’s quite the troublemaker,” Eli said.

Rhiannon glared at him, “I’m not a troublemaker. Don’t listen to him, Kaden,”

Without thinking, she grabbed Kaden’s arm, “Let’s go and check out so we can leave the store,”

Eli’s eyes settled on where Rhiannon’s fingers were holding Kaden, and she would have sworn his eyes darkened for
