Naina sighed again, still clinging onto the bag, “Well, they can’t this season. Their routes got flooded, so I’m going to them. Simple.”

Naina glared even harder, “Because I volunteered. Is this an interrogation or are you just bored?”
A curve appeared along the edge of his lips, “If I were bored, I’d be sparring. Not standing in front of you trying to figure out why you’re lying to my face,”
Naina bristled, “ I said I’m not lying,”
Kaden’s gaze softened, “Naina… you’re an awful liar. You always look people in the eye when you tell the truth. Right now, you keep breaking and staring at the ground like it’s got all the answers,”
“Maybe I just don’t like your face right now,” Naina snapped.
