When minutes passed and he remained oblivious, Rhiannon grinned.

Her stealth mode was perfect. If Ethan, who was connected to the earth and could feel every vibration, didn’t know she was right behind him, then she really reached the peak of stealth in wolf training.

She could sneak up on literally anyone with this.

Suddenly, Elijah whirled around to face the other end...and their eyes met.

He blinked, frozen, unsure of who he was seeing.

Then, she smiled, “I hope I didn’t keep you waiting for too long,”

Elijah moved faster than he could think, and swooped her into his arms!

A low growl of pure satisfaction vibrated from his throat, and Rhiannon chuckled softly, her laughter caught between surprise and relief as he spun her around.

His face was buried in the thickness of her blonde hair, and he held her so tightly as though he was afraid she would vanish if he let go.

“You’re back!” His deep voice was muffled, rough with the weig
